As a technical writer at IAR Systems you will be producing user-friendly English-language documentation for programming tools. Our technical writers work independently but in close cooperation with the software developers and the product managers. The ability to manage your own projects and a talent for cooperation are needed.

Our documentation department uses Adobe FrameMaker, extended with a modularized scripted reuse management system.


  • A university degree or a corresponding education, that includes languages/linguistics
  • Experience from writing about technology and explaining how technology works
  • Fluent in written English

Valuable assets taken into account:

  • A knowledge of computer technology (microcontroller architecture) and/or programming (very valuable)
  • Experience of scripting languages
  • Experience of documentation content management systems
